Parchment27 is a web directory in the tradition of an atlas gazette — a methodical survey of the open web, logging 835 sites across 22 organised sections. Each entry has been submitted, reviewed, and dispatched to the registry. The gazette exists to map the web, not to rank or recommend it.

Yes. Parchment27 accepts submissions at no charge. Use the Add Your Site form, select the most relevant gazette section, and submit. Sites that pass review are dispatched to the registry and appear in the appropriate section of the atlas.

Sites are grouped into 22 sections — each charting a distinct territory of the web, from Betting Parlours & Gaming Ledgers and Dispensaries & Health Stations to Travel Dispatches & Voyage Records and General Dispatches & Sundry Posts. Browse by section to explore a specific territory, or scroll the full registry.

Use the Add Your Site form on Parchment27, enter your URL and a brief description, and select the gazette section that best fits your site. Once submitted and reviewed, accepted entries are logged and appear in the relevant section of the atlas.

Submissions are reviewed in the order they are received. Once a site passes review it is dispatched to the registry and visible in the relevant gazette section. Processing time varies depending on the volume of pending submissions.

Parchment27 logs sites regardless of the language they operate in, provided the submission details are supplied in English and the site fits within one of the 22 gazette sections. The atlas reflects the international reach of the open web.

The atlas logs sites as they appeared at the time of submission. If a site changes substantially in focus or domain, the existing entry may no longer reflect its current state. Contact the gazette to request a review of an outdated listing.
